Dr May Mei-ling Lam

Dr May Lam is a specialist in Psychiatry and she is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, United Kingdom. She is an Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, and an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Department of Social Work and Social Administration, The University of Hong Kong. Dr Lam graduated from the University of New South Wales, Australia in 1995. Dr Lam has obtained International Clinical, Operational and Health Services Research and Training Award at the Harvard Medical School in year 2003-2004. Dr Lam has obtained Forgarty Research Grant at the Harvard Medical School in year 2005-2006.
Dr Lam has longstanding experience in child and youth mental health and adult conditions. Dr Lam has been actively involved in training local mental health professionals and promoting health education by delivering educational talks to school and general public.
She leads the Variety Butterfly Programme. She is passionate in helping underprivileged young people to maximize their potentials given their strengths and interests.
